Who is Juffrouw (Schoolmistress) Blom?
Juffrouw Blom (Dutch for schoolmistress Blom) is not a real teacher, but a digital teacher who teaches Dutch to children at primary- and secondary school. Juffrouw Blom supplies a variety of powerful computer programs for use at international schools and at home, to help children improve their Dutch language skills.
Dutch children abroad
A group that benefits strongly from the programs of Juffrouw Blom are the children of expats from the Netherlands and from Belgium. After living abroad for several years most of them lag behind in the Dutch language upon their return. In general Juffrouw Blom believes that for foreign (non-Dutch) students it is wise to start with the vocabulary program. As in every language, learning Dutch starts with knowing the words.
